10 of the Best (or Lessons in Life)
After 10 years of putting some of our best work into people’s back gardens it was great to have a project out in the open where it, and we, could be seen.
Private View: From a concrete shell to an Art Gallery.
We added an Art Gallery to our portfolio and it was a grand opportunity for family, friends and the team to raise a glass to past endeavours. But it is also the opportunity to see something that we know, have the feedback of, but rarely see…people enjoying our spaces.

So 10 years of the practice being open is also a great time to reflect and have some fun and see what experience we have gained so here we go:
10 lessons learnt (one for each year!):
Always listen - It is the key to real insight.
Be professional - We are and it works for us and will for you.
Collaborate effectively - The best solutions often come out of this.
Don’t be embarrassed, Ask questions - If you do not know there will be someone who does.
Try to be fair - If you struggle, step back, pause and get some perspective.
Be patient - Time is a great healer but sometimes is needed to achieve quality.
Stay positive - It is the hope and belief that you will get there is what gets you there.
Trust and nurture your team - The rewards far outweigh the investment.
Understand that change is necessary, but not at the expense of what already works.
Always be prepared to learn - This keeps every day, project and solution fresh.

Looking forward to seeing if these lessons still hold true for another 10 years. No doubt they will because they have already served us well.
